John Heasman wrote an excellent article about possibilities that rootkit may be found in PCI card that is sitting in computer and doing what is not supposed to do. However, it seems that additional effort is needed in order to increase security of computers and protect privacy of the users themselves. Ideas of free software, BIOS, firmware and open harware are very much relevant indeed. You can find article here. |
